Why I love this episode
I came into Supernatural far too late than is even acceptable (middle of Season 3... oh the shame) and once I started watching Season 1, I was immediately hooked, so I had to run out and buy Season 2, which I plowed through. To be perfectly honest I had written down the episodes which didn't have fanlistings so I could keep a special eye out and pay close attention to those episodes, and the only one that made me so pleased it didn't have a fanlisting was "Hunted". Sam's quest to find others that are like him after Dean tells him what their father said before he died is a little stupid, but heartfelt, and when he meets Ava he finally finds someone he can relate to. Dean's similar quest to find Sam after he runs off is endearing, because I love the relationship between the brothers and Dean's devotion is just so awesome. Sam's determination to go after Dean, even after Ava tells him she saw him die in her dream, is just yet another fantastic example of their incredibly close relationship. I just adore this episode from start to finish and am so glad I got the chance to run the fanlisting for it.
